The great folks in Olympia needed 4 years and $400,000 to figure out the "Say WA" tourism slogan. Over dinner tonight I asked my 8 year-old daughter to come up with 5 of them.
1. Washington... Thank you for not smoking
2. Washington... We have Dairy Queen.
3. Washington... The snails are in the Garden.
4. Washington... Air from the mountains is SO fresh.
5. Washington... Our food groups are the best.
Any one of those beats Say Duh...

BayEll is now back in Session...Tug of war to follow?.
Socially speaking, Portland and BayEll(fake town name here, PeCenter sounds weird) couldn't be further apart. Examples: Prius vs. Silverado, Turkey Franks vs. Elk steaks, clearasil vs. clearcut. Anyway Portland and BayEll are both heavy into....beer. Portland likes there beer..brewed in Oregon, and retro would be good. BayEll like there beer..cheap, and cold would be good. Enter Session. Brewed in Oregon and very retro.(11 oz. stubby bottle) Rumor has it this is the new "it" beer dethroning PBR.(thank god) Loggers in BayEll were drinking beer out of stubbies before chic Portlanders were even in there daddies wet dreams. Well now they've showed up at the local supermarket. While they will be defiantly nostalgic for the local everyman, they are not cheap, at $11 a half rack. Will they catch on here? I just bought a halfer.

Suicide by Logger
What I could only describe as an act of martyrdom, a Barn Owl met his dimise Monday morning, on the grill of our F-350 crew bus. Not exactly a sad event for a logger anywhere.
